Energy Smart Decision Tools

ENERGY SMART DECISION TOOLS® provides an economic analysis of proposed projects using our life cycle cost analysis of feasible alternatives. We provide the information in a clear, concise reporting style in the language that our clients use to make their important business decisions.
The information that we provide is based on the actual data that we gather from our client's business. We produce accurate computer simulations of existing facilities, or new, proposed project designs, focusing on installed costs and operating costs. We then determine the impact that alternative designs would have on the business by comparing the alternative cash flows. Our resulting life-cycle cost analysis then reflects the impact that each alternative would have on the business. The next step is to synthesize that information into useful decision tools for our client’s management team.
When our clients are considering a new building project, or retrofit replacements of existing building systems, they are making a cash decision that the business will live with for 10, 20 or even 30 years. Our ENERGY SMART DECISION TOOLS® provide the information to compare feasible alternatives so you can make the best decisions for your business.
When developing any pro-forma view of a business, the accuracy of the assumptions is critical to the accuracy of the forward looking analysis. In the building systems business, the two key components are actual installed costs and system operating costs.
At Comfort Systems USA Energy Services, our core business, energy engineering, is developing accurate operating costs for most major building systems. This information, compared to the actual installed costs and ongoing maintenance costs of alternative building systems, provides the basis of an accurate analysis.
The core strength of Comfort Systems USA operating companies is building, maintaining and operating mechanical systems. With that core competence we are able to accurately price installed costs and ongoing maintenance costs early in the design stage. Unlike many engineering firms and other providers, we do not use industry rule-of-thumb estimating methods. We price installation and maintenance with the intent of doing the work for that price.
By relying on a high level of accuracy in the two critical components to any life-cycle cost analysis, we can provide accurate tools upon which to base your decision. Use our ENERGY SMART DECISION TOOLS® on your next project.
