Replacement of two 42 horsepower supply fans in an air handler room.
Our Role
This project included the replacement of two large 42 horsepower fans in a prominent hotel in downtown Atlanta. The fans are located in an air handler room on the second floor. They serve the entire first floor of the hotel including all of the meeting rooms and ball room. Because the hotel is always busy holding meetings and events, Comfort Systems was given a very tight time frame to complete the work over the Christmas and New Years holiday. We had to remove a block wall and a steel staircase to remove the old fans and install the new ones. We also installed two new variable speed drives and connected them to the existing building automation system to ensure that the new fans are energy efficient. We are proud to announce that we actually completed the job early allowing the hotel to hold a last minute Christmas Day brunch.
